When: Saturday, April 19 through Tuesday April 21 – Training is on Monday and Tuesday from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
Who: HOPE Members only - must be a dues paying member.
What is ASIST?
- Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training
- It is a two-day workshop where you learn about the impact of suicide, warning signs and risk factors, and intervention skills.
- Participate in group discussions and role plays for interactive learning.
- Learn a Pathway to Assisting Life (PAL) model to intervene & safety plan.
- This training is for people in any profession to learn how to help a person in crisis.

How many students can attend?
We close registrations once 10 students are registered or seats fill up, whichever is first. Registration will close at least by February 12th.
How much does the trip cost?
Registration fee is $30.
(This includes registration for training itself, which is valued at $300, and we also cover lodging for 2 nights)
What is the Team Event?
A fun activity for the team to participate in; it could be an escape room, going to a museum, bowling, boat tour. etc. Team members vote on their preferred activity.
Do I have to stay with HOPE overnight?
No, but we recommend it so you can have a fun get-away with the club.
How do we get there?
It is up to you to coordinate transportation. However we will help members set up a carpool prior to the trip.
Are meals covered by the club?
You are expected to bring your own snacks and buy your own food.
