Day at the Capitol

Day at the Capitol is an immersive and hands-on opportunity designed to connect UCF students directly with Florida’s state legislators. Participants get the chance to engage in meaningful conversations about important issues that affect the UCF student body, sharing their perspectives and advocating for positive change.

Beyond advocacy, this experience offers a unique chance to build relationships and network with elected state officials, gaining firsthand insight into the legislative process and how government decisions impact students and communities.

Students also get to explore Florida’s historic Capitol building in Tallahassee, experiencing the heart of state government and witnessing democracy in action. This event is an invaluable way to learn, grow, and take an active role in shaping the future of higher education and public policy in Florida.
